  18. AFAIK not for powertrain controllers, they use for this purpose better
  19. equipped embedded controllers like SAB80C517 (electronic throttles) and
  20. for engine management SAB80C167. They are build especially for auto-
  21. motive applications, this means a lot of additional ports for genera-
  22. ting injection and ignition output, at least you may need a special
  23. serial interface CAN which is not H/W implemented in the 68EC0x0. I
  24. think the embedded controllers you may find in those cars are 68HC11
  25. compatible one for intelligent peripherals like immobilizer etc.
